Welcome to 123 Biology! This site introduces and gives you all the information you need on Biology. It also gives you tips on how to study, takes notes, and test well. The study of living organisms utilizing the scientific method is called Biology.Introduction. - 123 Biology! Saying that, lets begin by stating that there are 8 things that all organisms (or living things) have in common:

1) All organisms are made up of cells. (cells make up tissues, that make up organs, that make up organ systems, which make up US!!)
2)All organisms are capable of reproducing. (umm.. like have babies and stuff)
3)All organisms are based on a genetic code. (DNA)
4)All organisms eventually grow as well as develop.(example:getting taller)
5)All organisms obtain materials such as (food) and energy.
6)All organisms respond to their environment.
7)All organisms maintain an internal environment.(they can keep a normal body temperture)
8)All organisms change over time.

Now we have this thing , the scientific method they call it. It tells you how to do an experiment with the following!

step 1_ state the problem
step 2_ make a Hypothesis
step 3_ test or idea
step 4_ analyzing results
step 5_ draw a conclusion

(pretty simple i know!) But can you really use these same exact steps every time you try an experiment? not really , right? Although these steps may come in handy every now and again!
